Now, you need to insert your needle into that first stitch and make 2 single stitches in every stitch that you pass. You’ll end up making 16 stitches around the circle that you had initially made.

The next steps require you to make several rows of stitches. The amount of stitches in the row may vary and may confuse you but don’t be intimidated. Here are the detailed steps:

1.) Make a new row by doing 1 single crochet stitch on the first, second and third stitches that you pass and 2 single crochet stitches on the fourth stitch on the row.

7.) Follow Step Number 2 for the next row.

8.) For the next row, make single crochet stitches until you reach the seventh stitch. Make 2 single crochet stitches there.

9.) Do the next rows in single stitches but remember to add 2 single crochet stitches every row. If you did 2 single crochet stitches on the seventh stitch on the previous row, do it on the eighth stitch in the current row and so on.

10.) Once you have made the right size crochet hat you want, just tie a secure knot and you’re done!
